It appears this is a telemarketer trying to sell you membership into their travel club. An akmed answered the telephone but when I drilled him what number this was, he hung up. When I called back, he put me on hold for 20 minutes.

Please disregard the previous post. This is definitely a collection agency. The name is Global Vantage, the previous post was for a Global Advantage which is a travel agency, this number is definitely a collection agency.

Global Vantage 201-210-3618 We are on the 'Do Not Call' registry but receive calls from this number at least three times each day. Have excellent credit so it cannot be regarding a bad debt. Fortunately, we do have caller ID.

Caller asked for Jay Ludke or Luck or Lucke....said he was an associate of mine...when I pressed for details the caller could not give me details.....then the caller asked for my wife.....she would not talk to caller...who seemd to be Indian...apparently a rip off of some sort

Found a note in my mailbox saying call Rick Smith at 800-727-3593. I called, talked to man named Rick Smith who had a very heavy Indian accent. He wanted my son (also named Bill) to try to collect a debt. I said I'd tell him. Then a call came in from 201-210-3618. It was another man with a heavy Indian accent who said his name was Rick. I said I just talked to him and he said it must have been another Rick. He was extremely rude, asking for bank account number to pay debt. My son said he also calls him at work. They said there is a debt that they are trying to collect, but they will not give any information and will not mail anything. My ex-wife then called me and said that a Rick Smith called her and said it was very important to get in touch with me. I live in New Jersey, she lives in Florida and we were divorced in 1980. I asked if Rick Smith was his real name (because of the strong accent) and he said yes, why would he use a different name.

One day after my previous posts, Rick Smith again called from 201-210-3618. He told me that I had a debt of about 1800.00 which had to be paid. I told him he initially called asking for my son (who says he doesn't know what Rick is talking about) so why is he bothering me. He said this was the only address he had so if my son did not pay, he was going to process the debt as if it were mine. He gave me the last four digits of my Social and of course they were all wrong. I asked him where he was calling from and he said his company was based in California. I said he didn't answer the question. Where was HE calling from. He then told me that it was none of my business. He then just talked over me every time i tried to say anything.Just after I hung up on him, a neighbor knocked on my door and told me that a Rick Smith had called him and said it was very urgent that I get in touch with him immediately.

Rick again called the day before yesterday. Spoke in a rather nice tone compared to previous calls. I again asked where he was calling from and he wouldn't answer. I then said "you're calling from India, aren't you?" He answered "of course". I then told him I would not be answering the phone anymore when he called and hung up.

They called me looking for a neighbor & left a cll back number of 800-363-4815 ext 5110. Told him I'd pass it along if & when I saw the neighbor. Who are these people actually? And what respectable company would be calling neighbors? NONE!!

Global Vantedge calls our house asking to speak with myself or my husband. They say they are seeking a man who I have never met but know the name of. He used to date my sister. When we tell them that we've never met the man, they have been rude or accepting at different times. Regardless of what we say they KEEP calling. The last time they called they intimidated my teenage daughter! Who are these people? Should we be concerned about this? Would a freeze on our credit bureau accounts be a good idea? Any thoughts...

Yeah, I just got called from this number... Andy Williams (the lengenday American singer) with a strong Indian accent called and asked me to contact my neighbor about an important business deal. It sounded fishy, but just in case, I did as requested. My neighbor contacted me and we figured out this was some scam.

These jerks call every day. Once in the morning and once at exactly six o'clock at night. My teenage daughter LOVES to deliberately mis-hear the name they ask for and gets them to yell on the phone. Then she hangs up. EVERY DAY!!

The caller has a middle east/India accent giving the name Anson Williams and starts demanding payment of what I do not know. He has also been calling my son who is in college on his cell of which he does not need to be bothered with. He call everyday morning, noon and night over and over again. These harrassing call to Americans from people from third world countries needs to STOP now.

'they leave message to call another number - different area cone. i did once and they keep calling - i call them back and use a fart machine to give them the message. i figure they\'ll stop when they lose enough money in salary time. farts can be fun and creative. they use a variety of area codes, names and numbers which appear on the cid - the farts make them mad eventually and the machine is available at any trick shop. i haven\'t said a word to them since the first call.

Possible Solutions! These calls were driving me crazy. I was even thinking about changing my phone number. However, I recently got a Panasonic phone which has a very nice feature called “Block Calls”. Also, it has a feature called “Night mode” which you can use to select a span of time during which the handset will not ring. FYI, the model of the phone is Panasonic KX-TG9341. There are other models which differ in the number of extra handsets and key pad on the base unit but all have the same nice features to deal with unwanted calls. Also Grandcentral (company now owned by Google) has a very nice service to manage your phone number(s), and one of the many features is “Block Callers”. Ok, so after getting these calls for about four months I think I was able to stop them by turning the answering machine off so it would ring until the fax machine picked up. Calls started to taper off within about two weeks and now they have not called in about a month. My hope was that with different activity on my end of the line, they would think that I changed my number. I don't know if that's what happened or not but I am less annoyed these days.
