This is from BMW. Whenever you have *any* interaction with a BMW dealer, BMW corporate calls you and does a quality satisfaction survey. Even something as basic as an oil change. I HATE these calls and they make it far less likely that my next car will be a BMW.

They have called and called and called! I have not answered, since I did't recognize the number. Coincidentally - I do own a 2007 BWM - and just had it in for service. I will be calling my dealership on Monday to complain!!!

My God, they're just wanting your opinion on how their service was. Doesn't it make sense for a company like BMW to make sure you had a good experience? Of course, if they didn't call, I'm sure you'd be complaining about that also. You did buy a BMW after all, not a Toyota. Give them a break... And yes, it is from BMW North America.

I'm one of the callers and all I have to say is I understand where both parties are comming from. I would not want to be bothered at work and at home about this but at the same time being one of these callers I ahve to say it really is honestly my job. And Imay be one of the few thatactually give a crap if I'm bothering a customer. I tak eit personal when you guys yell at me or my co-workers and call me a c*nt for no good reason at all. I always get called names and told "YOU'VE CALLED ME LIKE A HUNDRED TIMES!!!" "GO TO HELL BITCH I'M NOT ANSWRRING ANYTHING" I've even been told that the customer would bomb my house and tried getting my information. It's uncalled for the way some of you treat us. And yeah some of us are peices of crap. I know I siut next to one that's always purposfully hanging up and being rude but I am not and alot of us are not. The bad people get weeded out becasue it's NOT tolerated at our company. We want to give good quality service and get on a one on one basis with customers and UNDERSTAND what they are going through. I know if I hear someones tone is off I double check to make sure if they want to do it. There's no pressure. And honestly without us who would oyu complain to? The dlr quite litterally THROW AWAY YOUR COMPLAINTS SO THEY DO NOT GET INTOP TROUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!And when you do go to direct BMWNA the dealer denies everything but they believe what we say and we can do it annomynously if you really wanna dish the dirt. As I'm sure some of you know they even BULYY u guys into giving them perfect scores for a crappy job and sometimes even trash your next service for bad ratings.That is where we come in. We get the honesty and let BMWNA KNOW WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON and things do change!!! Maybe not right away but it does change. There has been entire dealershipos that have FIRED their employees becasue ONE customer stood up and said what was happening and now I never hear anything bad about them since they got all new employees. We aren't trying to hurt you guys really. We want to help and I am very sorry that it bothers you so bad that an entire company is dedicated to trying make you life better when you go to take care of you vehicles. Try to understand where we are comming from too. Like I said there are crappy people where we work too but that does not mean you ahve to put us all in the sh*tter. Caller: TRG

The number is a BMW authorized survey center to follow up for a recent service that you may have had on your vehicle. As the BMW service rep probably told you when you came to pick up your BMW, you can expect to get a call asking about your satisfaction with the service, and that only a 5 is a passing grade. They probably even asked you to call them personally if you planned on giving anything below a 5 rating. After I got tired of getting these calls with no message, I finally called back. If you call back after business hours (pacific time), you'll just get a recording. I was on hold for about 15 seconds while I listened to the usual "this call may be recorded". A customer service person picked up, asked for my phone number, verified my name and vehicle make/model, date of service, how I made the appointment, and what I would rate the service. I told him that before taking the survey, I wanted my number removed from their call list as I no longer wanted to participate in any future surveys. He said absolutely, then we took the survey, giving all 5s since I was actually very happy with their service. Total time spent about 1 minute, and I am hoping they will honor my request to no longer call.
