They just called me. They are bill collectors. I told them I would set up a payment plan - they AGREED - got my work info and verified my address - then transferred me over to the 'litagator' who told me I was refusing to pay my debt. After several times of me telling him "I'm not refusing" He started YELLING @ me and I hung up. I then got another call 5 minutes later apologizing and the caller stated they would set up a plan. I told them I wanted something in writing - and all they said they could do was 'fax' something. Oh well! I tried. They are not an attorney's office - and even if they threaten to doc your pay - that is illegal. If they call your place of employment and 'fish' for information or tell your employter who they are and they are trying to collect from you - that violates HIPPA. Do not talk to these people.

Called yesterday and left a messege stating "This a message for D**** (w/ same Last name) This is Mr. R*******. This is regarding REF# 1132785. Call me as soon as possible (1-800-355-0123. I called back this morning and an operator answered. I ask to speak with Mr. Reynolds. She transferred me to Mr. S*****. He was rude from the get-go. He asked for the REF# and said what is my last of my social security #. I told him I'm not given this out and what is this about. He ask me I'm I Donnie (smae Last night?) I said no and he then asked me, "Do I live at such and such?" I said "no I don't." He asked me do I know or am I related to him? No. Ok I'll take you out of the database and I said is this going to go on my credit report. He was rude and said no and hung up. I called again and asked to speak to him, Mr. S*****. He answered and I said I need a confirmation # so I know this will be cleared from my information. He said, "Are you serious?!!!" I said as a heatattack because I don't trust people nowadays. He siad rudely, "USE THAT REF #!!!!" and hung up again! I called back a third time and talked with the receptionist. I ask her for his name and it's J**** S******. I told her he was rude and that he was not very professional. It's a lot of identity theft going around. Then I ended the conversation.

Yeah these people are tools. I had some "mason" guy that claimed to be an attorney almost in tears. "kept saying, I dont care what you want". "hang up the phone!" They like to dish it out alot better than they can take it thats for sure.

Claims to be representing an attorney, and gives you a extension and an "account number." They are looking for someone that doesn't live at my house. I get about ten collection calls a week looking for someone with a similar name.... I AM SICK OF IT!!!!

This law firm contacted our organization on May 29, 2009. One of our staff received the phone call and inquired as to the nature of the call. The caller claimed to work for Attorney Hecker. When it was asked who Attorney Hecker was, the caller became belligerent. We disconnected the call. After doing cursory research on Lawrence A. Hecker , we discovered that he's well known on the internet as an extortionist. We're currently investigating Mr. Hecker and have posted a warning for our represented area. Mr. Hecker was cited by the Supreme Court of New Jersey for unethical practices in 2001 and suspended for three months. His methods are intimidation and threat of legal action. If you receive a call from this firm, our advice is not to offer any information about account numbers , investments or any other cash assets . Hang up the phone. If you have caller rejection with your phone service, we suggest adding his number to it. a man called from this number asking for my dad. I told him that he wasn't here, so he told me he'll call later. I'm not sure but since i'm a computer programmer i know these kind of talk is just a type of fishing attack, like a virus or trojan but on the phone.
