I live in Canada. I just got a call from the phone number: 612-256-9958. The person introduced themselves as James from Canada Financial Services. He asked to confirm my name & also mentioned my home address. He said that he can offer me a lower interest rate on my mortage. I asked him how he got my nam & phone number. He said banks send their company list of people with high mortage rates & his job is to call & offer a lower rate. I asked him to give me his phone number. He said he works in a outbound processing centre & that I would be unable to reach him cause he has no phone number & because he is not in Canada. Personally I thought this guy is trying to fraud me & probably other people, so I told him to remove my name & phone number from whatever list he has and that I wasn't interested. He kept telling me that he can offer me a lower interest rate & I kept telling that: Please stop calling. Where are you calling from? Can I speak to your manager? How did you get this phone number? Why should I give you any financial information? Who are you? What the Fxxx do you want? This guy spoke very bad english, he sounded like he had an indian accent. I told him that I did not believe him & that I would have this phone line traced by the police & have him arrested for fraud. I told him that repeatedly & he just kept saying that he can offer me a lower interest rate on my mortage. So I ended up telling him to shove the list up his ass & to Fxxx off.
